As the carpooling and ridesharing industry continues to evolve, we at Sensor Tower have taken a closer look at the performance of the top five iOS applications in this category for the second quarter of 2024 in the United States. Here's what we found:
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery experienced a significant rise in downloads, beginning the quarter at 63K and peaking at 89K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a steady increase from 1.4M to over 1.6M during the same period.
Uber Russia — заказ такси saw its downloads fluctuate around the mid-20K mark, with a notable jump to 32K in the second week of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 350K to 375K range throughout the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads showed consistent growth, starting at around 15K and reaching nearly 27K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, starting at 46K and ending the quarter with 77K.
inDrive. Save on city rides downloads varied across the quarter, with a low of 12K and a high of 18K. The weekly active users saw a dip in late April but recovered to end the quarter with 28K active users.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a dip in downloads early in the quarter but recovered to 9K downloads by early June. Weekly active users saw a decline from 19K at the start of the quarter to 15K by the end.
